Your privacy
What the shop collects when you order, how visits are counted without cookies, and how to get your data changed or deleted.
Last updated October 9, 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
- We collect only what’s needed to confirm your order and hand it over.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cookies unless you log in.
- Visits are counted on our own server without storing your IP address.
- We never sell your details or send marketing emails.
- Email orders@charliefactory.com to see, fix or delete your data.
What we collect, and why
Charlie’s 3D Fun Factory is a one-person shop run by Charlie. In this policy, “we” means Charlie and the shop. We only ask for what’s needed to confirm your order and hand it over.
When you send an order request
- Your email, first name, last name (optional) and phone (needed if you’d like a text or call), and how you’d like Charlie to reach you.
- What’s in your cart, any promo code, a need-by date and any notes you add.
We use these to confirm your order, arrange pickup and keep a record of what was ordered and paid. Nothing is paid online, so we never see card or bank details.
If you create an account
- Your email and a password. The password is stored only in a scrambled form (a hash) that can’t be turned back into the password.
- Your name, and if you add them, your phone, contact preference and an address. The address is saved for when shipping launches; pickup orders don’t need it.
- Your orders. Once you confirm your email, orders you placed as a guest with that email join your account, and so do later ones.
When you send a custom request
Your name, email, what you’d like made and an optional date, so Charlie can reply with a quote.
When you email us
Your message and email address, in Charlie’s inbox.
Visits and cookies
- The shop counts visits with its own anonymous counter. There are no cookies for it, no advertising or tracking pixels, and your IP address isn’t stored.
- We don’t track you on other sites. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, your visits aren’t counted at all.
- The only cookie is a login cookie, set when you log in. Your cart is saved in your browser, on your device.
- The checkout, account and custom request forms use a bot check to keep out spam.
Who else sees your data
Only the services that run the shop: our website host and our email service providers. They handle your details only to deliver the site and its emails. We never sell or share your details for marketing, and we don’t send newsletters.
How long we keep it
Orders, custom requests and accounts are kept until they’re deleted. Visit counts are kept only as daily totals.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your data
- Logged in, you can change your name, phone, contact preference, address and password on your account page.
- To get a copy of your data, fix something, or have it deleted, email orders@charliefactory.com from the address you used. Charlie may ask you to confirm it’s you.
- Deleting your account removes your login, saved details and custom requests. Records of orders you placed stay as the shop’s record of what was made and paid for.
Children
The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. A parent or guardian should place orders for them. If you think a child has sent us their details, email orders@charliefactory.com and Charlie will delete them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. Questions about your data? Email orders@charliefactory.com.
